Continental breakfast was late
Just recently stayed at the big country for the Dyess AFB show in Abilene. The location of this hotel is good, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. However the hotel definitely needs an update. The door to the room is super hard to open even though it’s just a key card. It also smells weird when you walk into the room. And the shower was very slippery when using it. The room was also very outdated there were holes in some of the walls. Enjoyed our stay for the Wings Over West Texas airshow! The hotel is nicely decorated and clean. Our room was nice, beds were comfortable. Breakfast has many options, including a hot breakfast. It's in a great location, close to many restaurants and shopping, even within walking distance. The front desk staff were very nice. Checking in and out was easy and quick.
We had 1 small problem with the locking mechanism on our door but they switched us to another room. After that everything was excellent!
