I had a contract with big city asphalt for snow removal for our parking lot. After this last snow fall of 7-9 inches big city was not only a “No Show “ to clear the lot but they didn’t even call or respond to calls. I was totally disappointed. I had even spoke with the owner 2 days before the snow storm to get reassurance that they would be here to clear the lot and he had assured that they had it covered. Therefore the low rating towards this company and how they conduct business.
I called Big City Asphalt around 11 am and left a message outlining repair work and sealing I needed done on my asphalt driveway. Received a call back in just a couple of minutes from ****who introduced himself as the owner. We discussed the scope of my work and he said he had a crew in my area that could do the work the same day. WOW. He was at my house along with a colleague in a couple of hours in a sparkling white pickup (no tar anywhere) to meet and write a proposal. What an incredibly professional and NICE young man. **** came out , gave us an estimate with a time for completion. He also provided us with his insurance information as well as references. My husband and I couldn't be happier with their workmanship and professionalism.
The crew did a great job on our driveway yesterday. We are very happy with the results. They showed up on time and immediately started working. Great job guys!!
I have a long asphalt driveway, 1/10 of a mile long. It had deteriorated to the point I needed to put a 2” asphalt cap for the entire length of it. I contacted 4 companies to provide me with estimates. One company gave me bids of $28000 for 3” cap, and $24000 for a 2” cap. He then recommended “chip & seal” for less than half the amount of the 2”. Chip and seal is just spraying tar and covering it with gravel. It made me think for the scene in Cool Hand Luke.
