Had an amazing time at the hideaway on Lake Dunlap! The property was clean, easy to access, and it was so nice being right on the water. Kim was super responsive and we had an amazing weekend. Would definitely book this again!
Stay away!!!!! After spending over $20k on a vacation rental Kim and the owners of the property fraudulently charged my card for an additional $1500 thinking that it would go unnoticed. When confronted with the issue communication came to a slow crawl, not being able to provide any sort of photos or proof as to reason for the keeping of the "security deposit" which was a $1500 charge applied after the fact. The Magnolia River House was perfect for our multigenerational family! The adults had private bedrooms all with king-sized beds while the kids had two bedrooms with bunkbeds, singles and trundles. All 13 of us had fabulous accommodations. To top it off, the under-the-stairs kids room (aka the Harry Potter room) was a perfect getaway room for kids to hangout. We booked the Porter Haus at Camp Warnecke for two days for my birthday trip. We were so excited to hang out in pool the majority of the time, but unfortunately the pool was very nasty. Someone had informed us that it would be ready for our second day by 9 am. That was untrue. They did come, but it just made it very chemically, and no one wanted to get in. We stayed in a property starting Thursday and left Sunday. Although we did enjoy ourselves here was some things we noticed on the property we stayed at: -Dish washer was full ( Not a big deal but we all are used to it being empty when we show up, it was also so full we had to rewash most of the dishes in it) - Dirty Dishes in the cabinet ( There was multiple) - McDonalds box under the couch and other trash around the house - Some people said their ceiling fans did not work - No top sheets on the twin beds (We felt this was a... read more
