Big Cedar Not Covid compassionate I booked two nights stay for $635 back in September. I had to cancel 4 days before arriving because i came down with Covid. Big Cedar lodge will only give me credit that i must use before the end of next year. Yes they have a 21 day cancelation policy..... But isn't covid different? I had planned a destination wedding for 2021 along with booking 2 cabins. Their policy was a 2 night deposit upfront per room and pricing could change for 2021. Always booking my trips far in advance, I am aware prices can fluctuate annually. Yet, I had never expected one room would increase by $500/night. When I questioned it, I was first told that at the time of my deposit only one night deposit was required. That was not true. I had paid 2 nights on that room amounted to 1500. Family time was great . The accommodations were nightmare. We booked a cottage with king bed. We were given a 330 sq ft room with 2 queens and two twins. ( nothing like we requested) at rate of 445.00 night. Phone rep booked wrong room. Ladies at desk did best they could to fill our 4 days but we were sent to only option they had for solid 4 days without being bounced around room to room. We were put in studio time share. One of if not the best places to vacation. My wife and I have been going for 13 years and it never gets old. The reason for that is that every year, it seems, there is a new attraction or something different going on. A lot of stuff for the kids too. Hands down, my favorite place to go.
