Welcome to Big Break Jiu-jitsu. We are a local family operated martial arts school that offers classes in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and conditioning. Located in Oakley California. We cater to all ages and currently offer classes for children ages of 6 and up, teenagers and adults. Our classes range from beginner to advanced skill levels. Our goal is to teach practical and realistic self-defense as well as prepare for competition. We are Visions and Compass Charter school vendors serving the East bay.

Big break jiu jitsu is hands down the best place to train in Oakley!! The coaches are not only knowledgeable but also really care for each student. My kids have gained so much confidence and discipline since starting here! The community feels like family and the energy is always very positive and motivating. Oakley is lucky to have a world-class gym here in town. Don't miss out!!

Let me just start by saying David and Samantha are amazing instructors. The kids classes are focused on being a good trading partner and be helpful. I highly recommend them for their kids and adult programs and it’s no wonder they keep getting voted as best in Oakley every year.

One of the best Jiu-jitsu academies that I've trained at. David and Samantha are both amazing instructors!!! And all of the members are great!!! Great training partners and awesome community... everyone is like family!!! Definitely a great environment to train at and learn the art of jiu-jitsu with my kids.
