For the past couple months, I've enjoyed going to Big Block Brewing's Sammamish location on Thursday nights to play Mah Jong. I've tried a variety of their beers, hard seltzers, and hop water and have liked all of them so far. I've found the place to be welcoming and a fun environment in which to meet friends. This place is a great brewery and a community hub. I frequently visited with a knitting and crochet group when they first opened the Sammamish location and now I have fun sipping their hard seltzer with a Mah Jong group. There was a yoga class out in their courtyard too. I love how they support so many diverse interests!
Jeremy is wrong! One, they literally called themself out by saying they already knew kids under 21 are legally not allowed at the location... But redmond is okay. Two they are judgemental on a person's body type... judging someone's clothing/ style is bigotry in a box. There are signs on the window upon entry. If you are purchasing beer to go kids are fine, that doesn't mean they are free to stay. Figure it out Jeremy. I love big block and the people that work there and they don't deserve to be belittled.
We usually come in here to grab a growler but had a pretty bad experience with the large fellow bartender. He wasn’t very friendly and even though we were next in line, he ignored us oddly for a bit. Later, one of the kids came in, and despite not seeing any 21+ signs, and them having puzzles and games around, he quickly kicked us out. Great craft beers, pricing is higher but good value. Very nice large, private courtyard away from street noise. Lots of nice details ( flowers etc) and plenty of seating, even for very large groups. Lots of covered space outside too and there's a large fire chimenea too. You order your beer and other beverages inside.
