I can't say enough good things about Big Al's! Super friendly service and delicious food at a reasonable price. This is a very rare combo these days. My friend attempted the Giant breakfast burrito and we had a blast watching him give it his best effort (he ate about 75% of it!) while Al gave him some playful teasing. You gotta check this place out if you come to Nashville. It's tucked into a neighborhood and the I love the old school feel and how friendly Al was to talk to.
This place is the definition of “hole in the wall.” Great service and great food. Portions are HUGE so come hungry!

Four of us ate here and we all got food poisoning symptoms later that night that continued over the next several days. We called Big Al’s to warn them about what happened in case there was an outbreak and other people had called in as well. Al’s response was very defensive and dismissive, “if you got sick it wasn’t here” and “I’ve been doing this for 12 years and no one has ever gotten sick”. He then went on about how fresh his food is.
