Joel Bierer was one of the most compassionate attorneys I had the pleasure working with throughout my legal career which included Who's Who in the Law (1968) (So you know I saw a lot of "action" with my company Federal Legal Resources.) In addition, Joel was thorough and very ethical. That could aggravate some clients who wanted him to take "shortcuts." He was a wonderful man and a true "man of the law."
Had a bad experience with Joel, 8 years ago. He made very poor decisions for my daughters case, double billed, scheduled, forgot things from meetings, rescheduled to discuss the same stuff all over again. He put my daughter in the worst financial position and basically blew her legal case by catering to the opposing lawyers demands.( It was a fancy law firm and legal team and he seemed focused with getting their praise) He stated repeatedly in emails he didn’t know anything about real estate law, but guessed at the right rou... read more
Unfortunately for us, his priority was impressing the attorney for the other side. Including referring to him numerous times as a rock stsr, and forcing us to agree to terms which were not what we wanted, upon the threat of abandoning our case when there was no time to hire another lawyer. He told us he had agreed to the rock stars demands and was not going to ague it with him. Instead he argued with us, and insulted us and our marriage.
