After doing research on the KTM mountain bikes brand from the Authorised Australian Distributor. Their website mentioned the bikes were "Designed, Tested and Manufactured in Austria”. Which was a key factor in purchasing the bike. Then when the KTM Scarp 293 SE1 mountain bike was delivered it had MADE IN TAIWAN. I purchased a Merida duelly....very happy with my choice and assistance from staff, I love the bike it was perfect for me, first reasonable mountain bike, first service was free and they did a great job!! I will consider my next purchase here as well.
Wow what an experience.... Asked for an adult bike that would be suitable for me to ride (adult 178cm) and was recommended a bike I later found out after purchasing was a Junior bike suitable for 9 - 11yr old. Took bike back to shop & the manager refused to take any responsibility for his staff misrepresenting the product and was told it was my decision to take advice from their staff member hence my fault for buying the wrong sized bike.
