Great prompt service.
Friendly and fair prices, but crap work. Got my crankset replaced and the chain fell off while riding home. When tightening myself, I saw the axle goes all the way to the back of the lug. We talked about shortening the chain, but they must have been too lazy.
I always loved BH in the old days in SoHo. But this place for some reason follows the rule that bike shops need to be arrogant and rude. We brought a bike in and first of all they charge $25 just to look at it. Then send a quote for $400. What needed to be done is fix the brakes and replace an inner tube. Beyond the obvious ridiculousness of the price, everything was done with just bizarre attitude that no one should be allowed to get away with. Ordered a Canyon Aeroad and had it delivered to Bicycle Habitat. Called them before it was delivered since I had some questions, wanted to install the upgraded aero bars, and some general fit advice. Michael was extremely helpful throughout the entire process both on the phone and in person. They also were able to wax the chain while I waited so I'm ready to go for the beginning of the season. Service at all the Bicycle Habitat stores is always great. I always rely on Tim and his crew at the Vanderbilt store for service. He is responsive and only services what you need and does not upsell you. I have never been disappointed and will continue to recommend them.
