My family and I stayed at Diamond Island Resort in one of the two-bedroom units and overall had a really enjoyable experience. While the cleanliness and amenities weren’t exactly top-notch or luxurious, the staff more than made up for it. The French backpackers running the place were super lovely, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Great location in Bicheno, beautiful beach views from room with beach access very close by. Penguin watching a free added bonus which, while nothing spectacular, was a bit of fun. Reasonable value for money relative to alternatives in Bicheno.
