I am currently a patient. The reviews are wild! Honestly, you get what you put in. Yes, they can be hard on you, but as long as you comply and follow the rules, you'll get by just fine. Learning to follow rules is part of recovery. I had issues here and was constantly pissed off and would probably have given this place a 1 star rating when I was still using. If possible I would give zero stars. I wasn't in the building 2min. The miserable flunky that hates to work at the window has a serious attitude. I would love to fix. Luckily this place isn't the only clinic in Kansas City. Skip it go to KU.
This place is a business first and foremost, not a non-profit or anything that doesnt put profit first. In my experience: The counselorsI have had: Are there for money, are not on top of their work (calling people or meeting when scheduled, even hosting groups), which causes them to inconvenience you with no care in the world, and they don't even know the rules and procedures. Omeka is an amazing counselor who lifts me up, isn't afraid to tell me what I need to work on i appreciate her so much, I love both nurses, they have all kept me sober and sane. miss b and the other lady up front make my day every time I come in. they also treat me and my son like family. I have no complaints. they treat me with respect and care about me. if you do what you're suppose to do in this program it will be easier for you and more enjoyable. recovering can't always be a cake walk.. just appreciate they are there f... read more
