Surgical skills excellent. People skills none. We had a modified code . Paperwork signed and motorized. After surgery icu still had full code. Dr Patel called me at 10:00 at night and belittled me, called me stupid and I just wanted to kill my husband , that I didnt know what I was talking about. I’m a retired nurse worked in cardiac icu and I also was a circulating nurse in the OR. I knew what I was talking about. He argued with me for almost an hour. Very professional. Answered all questions. Went over all the risks. Followed up on me so I didn't have to put up with the arrogant all knowing Hospitalist.
