She is awful - does not know what she is doing. Terrible bedside manner. Caused more damage than good.
Dr. Bhatia talk to me in a belittling manner that made me feel like she didn’t really care about my needs. She just talk to you like she knows whatever is best for you and I understand I’m coming to you for help but she feels like she can talk to you however, she wants.
She is disrespectful, dismissive, and listens as well as a rock. She ignored our questions and created her own answers to the questions she asked us. If I have the unfortunate need for a psychiatrist other than the one that I have and love dearly, I would drive 50 miles out of my way to receive care if she was the only option near me. Horrible to say and I feel horrible saying it but that was how bad the experience was. More harmful than helpful
I've been seeing Dr. Bhatia for over twenty years now. I wish I had switched at some point in my life. I feel that she tends to speak to me too briskly about my problems and conditions, misses the entire point of what I am saying and why I am upset, and makes blunt, harsh statements, and then won't listen to my responses. She's not an easy psychiatrist, and I feel far more at home with my social worker than with her.
Dr. Bhatia is incredible! I went to 3 different psychiatrists without success before I went to her. She's extremely caring and really listens to what you need and have to say. She doesn't BS you and is very to the point and you can tell she truly really cares about every single one of her patients.
Phone calls are slow to be returned. Had some problems with a medication and she provided little feedback. I was not present when she met with my child, but my child was very intimidated by the idea of going back to her. Between that and lack of feedback on the medication, I switched doctors and am having more positive results.
