I went for a routine breast and pelvic exam/pap smear yesterday. The pap smear was done but no examination of the breasts or abdomen. When asked, Dr. Patel said she started with the abdomen, examined the breasts and only then moved down!! I was very perplexed as she had absolutely not done any breast exam on me. The nursing assistant had instructed me to wear the gown with the opening to the back, which I thought was unusual when you go in for a breast exam. I feel very comfortable in Dr. Patel's office. Staff is friendly and caring. Dr Patel spends adequate time explaining procedures, I did not feel rushed. I highly recommend this office.
I am 25 and a single mother. I saw Dr. Patel and was extremely unimpressed with her beside manner. I had to say hello first — always a red flag. She jumped in commenting on my looks and was way too comfortable speaking to me off the bat. Some of her medical advice was warranted , and some was just her putting in her two cents. This was my first time meeting her and she knows nothing about my history so I found her suggestions as to how to be a “good mother” to be offensive. The final straw was when we said our goodbyes. Dr. Patel is wonderful. Her compassion, kindness, knowledge and professionalism are second to none. My daughters, both in their 20s, love her as well.
Dr Patel is wonderful. She takes her time and is thorough. Highly recommend.
