I'm enrolled in auto pay and it failed to charge my account this month for some reason. There was no notification of system issues or any form of communication from them whatsoever outside of the "late payment" email. I tried to call customer service to attempt to figure out what was happening and was met with the omnipresent "we are experiencing higher than expected call volume" auto message with a 2 hour+ wait time to connect with a representative. These people are a disgrace.
Since we purchased our new home in February 2025, BGE has been nothing short of a disaster. After we received our first bill I noticed no gas usage charged. I reached out and have email correspondence that this was normal for the first few billing cycles. After that, I reached out again.
