Stop the HUGE annual increases in property tax valuations! They far outstrip the increases in real estate values in the area!
Last month I sent a certified letter to Chief Appraiser Michael Amezquita regarding errors in property tax exemptions for the past two years. The return receipt is dated March 3, so I know the letter was delivered. I never received a response to my letter, but have now received adjusted property tax bills for those years, including penalties for delinquent taxes due to an exemption granted by BCAD for which I did NOT apply. My question is why should I be held accountable for BCAD's error? I hope someone will have the courtes... read more
