Just wanted to post in case it helps shed light for someone else. Rented from them for 2+ years and I can not recommend. I never leave reviews and honestly likely would have left quietly and moved on, but the way we were treated at the end (after giving them notice that we were buying a home and would be leaving) was just too much after being model tenants for so long. We have been renting from Betts for almost two years now, and we have not have any problems with them. I have read the previous negative reviews, and what I think some don’t realize, is that it’s not as simple as they make it sound to remedy the issue, especially in the areas that they indicated they are living. Also, they are the managing company, but they are managing for the owners. So their hands are tied as to what the owners are willing to do. As tenants, it’s your responsibility to know your rights.
It's unfortunate that these property owners and property managers won't do anything about their property on 38th and Cuming St. Not only is it usually poorly maintained from a curb appeal perspective, worse, they have tenants who trespass next door, sell drugs on others' properties, roam around neighbors' yards/patios/spaces, and bring their dogs over to poop without cleaning up. Multiple requests have been made to this company to do something about their terrible tenants (woman and man) in the basement of their 38th and Cuming property. Our home is constantly being disrupted by screaming matches which almost always end up in our driveway, their “guests/customers” use our driveway and parking lot like a drive thru and hangout, they bring their dog into our enclosed courtyard to defecate and not pick it up, they leave garbage and drugs on our patio, smoke on our patio, put cigarettes out in our garden... read more
