I had my gallbladder removed by Dr. Appel in June of this year. Dr. Appel is very nice. She's kind and empathetic. I know that gallbladder removal is common but I've learned a lot about this surgery since having it. Dr. Appel no longer uses a 3 hole procedure but a 6 hole. She does a deep stitch at the extraction incision. Beware. Most people have little to no problem with this incision, however I believe she put the stitch in me either too tight or in a place my body doesn't like.
