Had an appointment 16th of September. I was 99% sure what’s going on with me as I checked my symptoms, sequence and everything I just went there for confirmation. Turned out I got an appointment with paramedic, not GP and she seemed clueless as she said I got tonsillitis, when I had it couple of times I knew the symptoms and that wasn’t the case. The service is terrible. I had an appointment at 8:15 for a blood test. No one informed me in advance; my appointment was canceled at the window. Then I wait for my consultation with the doctor at 9:00. At 9:20, no one calls me because they're busy, and I took several hours off work to arrange this. I'm wasting my time. Instead of helping me, they're causing me stress and anxiety. My blood pressure has spiked, which has caused headaches and dizziness.
One star as far as reception goes. I rang to make a request for a house bound friend and I was shocked by the way the receptionist snapped at me as soon as she picked up the phone. Maybe she has other skills but she should certainly NOT be a receptionist! She even put the phone down before I had a chance to complete what I wanted to say! I hope someone will read this and look into it. Of course I do not know her name.
Awful service they have been fobbing me off for two weeks just for a poxy GP letter! Extremely unprofessional and uncoordinated. I hope your abysmal management team reads this. I have had to cancel my other appointments just for this one document.
Reception staff are dismissive. Doctors are not thorough. Finally time to move surgery since Bethesda choose funding for subscriptions over genuine care.
