Bethany Village is terrible
My grandma was here for 10 years and was very loved by all of the staff and residents until she passed away this month (not to say she isn't still loved and will be missed whole heartedly). This place took such good care of her the whole time she was there. Now don't get me wrong there were some bumps in the road like all assisted living places do (no one is perfect) but for the most and I do mean most part it was a very great place for people to go when they can't be taken care at home. My father, who has dementia, was taken here for a day program they have running. It is meant to be a destination for social time and busy work. Even though they would not comply with any plan from my sister and I on how to make his transition work, and of course their plan FAILED in a spectacular fashion, I still view them in a positive light. The rehab dept is pathetic .. they are so under staffed .. they leave elderly ppl to wet themselves and dedicate them selves ... they ignore call buttons and when they come for a call bell and you ask for something they don't come back to bring it .. they take you places on the floor and park your wheel chair and dont tell ypu why your there or when they will come take you back to your room .. it's rehab some of the ppl who come in have never been there and are in a unfamiliar place with unfamiliar ppl and they don't explain... read more
