Beth El Synagogue is the first (and only) synagogue I’ve ever belonged to. When I joined in 2002 I knew very little about Judaism. In Beth El, I found a shul that was the very definition of “haimish,” warm, welcoming, enveloping. They were happy to teach me, encouraging me to do more and more. Beth El is solidly based in traditional Jewish values and practice, yet people of all levels of observance feel welcomed. There are many deeply committed member volunteers involved in all areas of synagogue life, and there are ample opportunities to learn, to share in spiritual growth, and to have fun too.
