Nice hotel in the middle of Chester. Great home base for Lake Almanor and close to Lassen Park (30ish miles)
Clean and modern. Bfast during the week, had stale bread items. Hot tub was closed even though we picked this hotel for the hot tub.
The worker who helped us was great. Super friendly and solved the problems immediately. The room hadn't been vacuumed. Lots of stuff on the carpet. There wasn't any soap in the shower. The room was a little beat up. Needs a renovation. Little stuff was wrong too. One lightbulb burned out in the bathroom and the other bulbs were mismatched. Clean location near Lassen National Park. I considered the other over night offerings, like nearby cabins, and B &B, as well as available motels/hotels, however I decided to stay at a place where you know what you are going to get, at a BW hotel. Hot tub after time in the park is a great way to end the day.
Overall its a great spot. Room was clean and breakfast was OK. For breakfast they had the usual for a Best Western. They had a jacuzzi outside. It was hot and refreshing. Just got to watch out for the wasps by the handicap machine that lowers a person into the jacuzzi. Looks like they are making a nest there.
