We stayed at the Best Western in Hammondsport and the staff was wonderful! The people that work here are the best thing about this place! Everyone is helpful, informative and kind. The location is good and the restaurant offers convenient and tasty fare. The room however was a disappointment. The shower was dirty – mold and mildew in the door tracks and a layer of grime on the floor of the shower. The vent in the ceiling of the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Traveled 5 hours from Bronx NY. Unexpectedly, needed a overnight stay. Thankful for the Availability and the price was reasonable. Enjoyed the on site small menu food Cafe. Great complimentary breakfast. Comfortable atmosphere. My first choice for any future stays.

I’ve been trying book a room block at this hotel since August 2025 for our upcoming wedding in Hammondsport in September 2026, and this is the only hotel in the area. I’ve spoken to Karen, the manager, several times on the phone requesting a room block. Every single time I’ve called, she has told me to call back in a month when the room block rates were established, but she promised me at least 10-15 rooms would be reserved for our wedding.
