This year will be the first time in 5 years that I’ll be welcome at a family Christmas and it’s because I went to Great Lakes Rehabilitation. When I started using heroin it was for the dumbest reason. Some guy I’d had a crush on for years asked me if I wanted to try it and incredibly dumb me said yes. I didn’t think it’d affect me the way it did. I didn’t think I would instantly fall in love with it. I’ve heard some people say that heroin is their best friend and their worst enemy, or something similar and it’s true for me t... read more

My best friend went to Best Drug Rehabilitation and it saved her life. Before going to BDR she had been using for 12 years and nothing seemed to work for her. At least nothing worked for very long. She’s tried so many different things to get clean too. When she first realized she needed help she started going to NA meetings. Those didn’t help her so she went to a couple detoxes, thinking that if she got everything out of her system she’d be able to stay that way. When those didn’t help she went to rehab. After that first reh... read more

All of the reviews below are obviously written by the same person and should not be treated as authentic. The tone, content and voice of each are too similar to ignore. I attended BDR in 2013. They have a very unique and unusual treatment program and I got high and drunk the day I got out, but it wasn't the worst place. The facility is run down, and I wouldn't recommend anyone ever pay their own money to go there (I used insurance). I'm sure their success rate is very low (it's not as high as they will say), but that is true... read more

I went to Best Drug Rehab 2 years ago. Since then, the name has changed to Great Lakes Rehabilitation but everything about the facility is the same as when I was there. It doesn’t really matter what name they’re calling now, it’s still the best drug rehab facility out there. Before going to BDR I had been using pain pills for 12 years and had gone to 8 different rehab program and not one of them helped me even a fraction as much as BDR did. With all the other programs when I finished them I wasn’t ever able to stay clean for... read more

I went through the program at Best Drug Rehab. BDR is the first and the only place that has helped me with my drug addiction. When I first started smoking pot as a teenager, I didn’t think I’d become an addict. A pretty common assumption and to tell the truth, if I had just stuck with pot and not gone on to stronger drugs I’d have been fine. I did end up trying stronger drugs though and eventually became addicted to pain pills. It actually took a while for me to become truly dependent on pills though. At first, I used only o... read more

I didn’t want to go to Best Drug Rehab. I When I went there it was because my mom begged me to go and I hated that my choices in life and made her so miserable. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to go to BDR specifically. It was that I never wanted to go to another rehab, ever. Since I was 17 I’ve been in and out of rehab and not one of them has ever helped me. Before my mom convinced me to go to BDR I was done trying. I knew that not getting clean would lead to my death and I at that point I was okay with it. While my mom was co... read more

I’ve gone to 4 different rehabs and out of all of them Best Drug Rehab was definitely the best. I’ve been addicted to heroin since I was 17 and my life has been a wreck since then. I never finished high school; didn’t have a job and would’ve been homeless if it wasn’t for my parents letting me live with them. I’ve always hated going to rehab, but the worst part of any rehab for me was the detox. Kicking heroin isn’t ever going to be easy or fun but I was surprised at how much easier detoxing was at BDR. The people working in... read more

I am writing this review as a father who sent his son to Best Drug Rehabilitation. I honestly was skeptical at first as to how this was going to work because no one else in our family had ever had a problem with addiction before, but in the end we were all very happy with Best Drug Rehabilitation and with their ability to help our son out. Jimmy had been struggling with addiction for a couple years and had been totally unwilling to get any kind of help. He refused to get any kind of assistance. It wasn’t until he overdosed a... read more

Best Drug Rehab was the first and hopefully the only rehab my son goes to. When he went to BDR it was because he had been using meth for a little under a year. It was scary how much my son changed in that year. First there’s all the physical changes. The weight loss and how much he picked at his face. Then there’s the emotional changes. He went from a pretty decent kid to someone I couldn’t stand to be around. He became mean and spiteful. He lied about everything and didn’t about anybody other than himself. I’m grateful that... read more
