I purchased an HP laptop with the service plan and I'm glad I did because the DVD drive broke only after 10 months; I only used the DVD drive maybe 10 times. But the GEEK Squad don't answer their phones (called them 8 times and they answered 1 time), it took them 2.5 weeks to run their diagnostics to tell me that my DVD drive needed to be replaced.
