BestBank survival guide: Bestbank is an odd one. When I signed up for 3 free checking accounts, I asked them how they make money. I asked if they made loans. They said no. I went to their website and sure enough they don't offer loans. They make their money in fees when you overdraft your account.Or when you don't read the rules very well. They do stretch out deposit times and they don't forgive much when you screw up. Living on fees, they really can't. DO NOT BANK WITH BEST(WORST) BANK. They are literally the worst bank ever! They hustle people out of their money and purposely rip peopl off! I was warned not to bank with them because they find ways to overdraw your account. I thought I would be okay because when I signed up, I told the representative to put over draft protection on my account. best bank as a hole – This bank is a big old rip off My account was 7.00 overdrawn. by the time i got notified or reliazied myself. Three days passed I got to the bank and was told my over draft fee was now 150.00 asked to close accunt or stop fees so I could bring current. Would not do this so it went up 30.00 a day until it maxs out. WHAT A RIPOFF BANK

Rip Off Bank – This is bank that I wouldn't tell a sole about. This bank practices is to pretend that they are helping the customer, but they aren't they are putting the customer in more debt. Recently, I was not notified about their fee changes. I had an unauth. payment hit my account; it happens and many banks will just reverse the transaction, however, the new fee policy allow the bank to charge you $28.00 a day if your account is overdrawn, now mind you--I dont use the account that much only to make periodic transactions... read more

Just keeps getting worse – Had this bank for a few years cause they were in the local Kroger and I wnated to local bank to go with mu primary USAA (excellent). We only have one small direct deposit come into this bank and cashed local checks. Just noticed the other day the account was overdrawn cause wife wrote a check and used this account rather than our primary. No problem sent over the funds to cover it. Took 3 days through EFT!!! Got hit with high overdraft charge ($37) send more over to cover it and now I am getting hi... read more

Great small bank! – I have had nothing but wonderful interactions with this bank. Their hours are amazing and I can grocery shop and bank @ the same time. Always very friendly! You just have to know their rules, which are not many, and you will enjoy many hours of happy banking!

BestBank now WorstBank – Like so many others, I was suckered in to opening an account due to weekend (especially Sunday) banking and after hours bank. Now only 1 bank withing a 50 mile radius of me is open on Sunday, and it's quite a drive. Also, customer service is simply gone.
