I was very hungry today and not in the best mood, and I wanted some bananas, I was respectful and courteous and tried paying with my EBT card after which I was told there’s a $1 minimum (which is illegal) and then I asked to clarify with the manager and the cashier started ringing up the next person and that really irritated me. Regardless I then paid with cash but the cashier refused to ring me up.
I was willing to overlook a few things for convenience and to support small business but I’m officially done. Expired dairy products always on shelf and refrigerators always over 50 degrees, I was okay just getting dry goods. Prices a bit more expensive and staff are rude, comes with the territory for a small business in a residential neighborhood.
