While Dr. Berner has been great, his staff has been known to hang up on you and delay getting med refills. I was hung up on this morning because I got a little testt after being off my med for 2 days so far. I also tried paying my bill, but they didn't even want that. Would not recommend this office due to front office staff. Edit: Dr. Berner fired me after I said I was leaving because I said his receptionist would cower if I went up there. Dr berner is kind but my appointments with him were a waste of my time. He was not willing to fight to help me manage my debilitating adhd from the get go. I made tons of changes and adjustments to meet his expectations but he treated me like my problems didn't matter. He spent most of our two sessions explaining why he WOULDNT help me. I've been fighting for a working stimulant for almost two years now and he did not care to get me stabilized so i can go back to work. Dr. Berner is the most caring, personable psychiatrist around. I highly recommend him!
Intelligent, communicative, easy to work with. Dr Berner is fantastic!
I love Dr. Berner and have been seeing him since he joined the UofA system in 2018/2019. I got in quickly and never have a problem with follow up appt. Maybe he has too many patients because he is the only one on campus. This is not his fault. The University needs to address this issue.
