Dr. Maria was, unfortunately, one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve had with a pediatric specialist. He came across as arrogant, dismissive, and acted as if he knew everything without taking the time to truly engage with our child, or with us. He spent under 10 minutes in the room, made no physical assessment, and shockingly offered an alarming and inappropriate diagnosis suggestion that was later completely refuted by a respected neurologist at CHOP. CLINIAL STAFF IS INCOMPETENT AND ARE VETTING PATIENTS. I called to make an appointment with Dr. Maria to establish care for my child. The woman I spoke to stated that Dr. Maria doesn't see patients with just Autism or developmental delays. I explained that my child was being seen by a neurologist at NY Presbyterian and I would like for him to establish care with neurologist closer to our new home. Dr. Maria is AMAZING!!!!! When my daughter first started having seizures there was a lot of fear and unknown, Dr. Maria took every step possible to figure out the cause and from then created a plan for us to get her to be seizure free. He’s even checked up on us when he saw she was in the ER for a fever and ear infection to see how she was doing. Our journey has come to an end but I will never forget the impact and help he has provided for us. Thank You Dr. Maria!!
