I brought my car to Berman Subaru because it has been making a concerning sound. Instead of diagnosing the issue, the service department dismissed it as a “regular characteristic of the car.” That’s frustrating and unacceptable as something is clearly wrong, and rather than taking the time to figure it out, they brushed it off. i gave them two chances and have had them ghost me both times when i had follow up questions. first time i did basic service and never got the promised inspection report. they’ll send “just checking in” texts and then never actually contact you. second chance - i had thrown codes and my O2 sensor was covered in oil. $1600. even accepting msrp on parts, the labor cost magically jumped $300 and service advisor was nowhere to be found when i arrived to pick up. i was promised by the rep he’d have him call next morning. never ha... read more
Recently moved away further from this dealership after originally purchasing it from Berman. I have been coming back regardless of the time time added bc I have been happy with the quality of service received each visit. Tyler was awesome and although I can go to other Subarus that are closer to us now; I may still continue to drop off our 24’ Crosstrek with Tyler at Berman bc I’ve had no complaints.
I normally don’t leave reviews, but I just had a servicing appointment and am seething with anger. Asked the guy who was helping me about getting key fob and was told it would be $216 plus labor and I said cool, sign me up. BUT what they didn’t tell me was that the labor fee for programming the fob was $250. Very convenient to leave out that it would cost more to program the fob than the fob itself, because I wouldn’t have signed up if I knew the total cost would be more than double.
