I like Dr. Berman a lot. The only thing I don't like is that it is at least an hr. wait so I always bring a really good long book. The waiting room is not the greatest and the chairs can be uncomfortable. I think she knows her stuff and she is caring. I have depression and bipolar. She is a very positive person about getting better and she makes you do your part in recovery.

BEWARE OF THIS MD. !!!!!!!!! One star ONLY to get this post up. This MD. overprescribes a multitude of medications which are know to be contraindicated to be taken together. Prescribed 7 different medications all which counteract each other is a drug addicts dream come true. Initial visit was today at 2pm. I arrived 15 minutes early in anticipation of filling out paperwork. I fill out my paperwork and I'm asked to pee in a cup. I've been treated for over ten years by psychiatrists and have never been asked to pee in a cup. I reluctantly do so and take a seat in the waiting area. I'm actually going back to back to her next month because she is a really a smart psychiatrist and I've had about ten, none of them match up to her expertise. She friendly and cute too! But the woman definitely knows what she's doing and I like how she drug tests before each appt, it makes sure ur taking ur meds n that ur not taking any substances like coke heroin and she will discharge u. My nephew a patient of Dr. Berman's who has alcohol and substance problems which are well documented. Still knowing this Dr. Berman has over prescribed him addictive benzoid's. This is the very LAST thing someone with a addictive behavior needs. He has misused his medication and was still given more long before he should have received anymore.
