Can't speak highly enough of this veterinary practice. Tuesday afternoon 30 minutes before closing time I phone the clinic to ask for assistance regarding my young kelpie that was bitten by a paralysis tick and weak in the back legs. The receptionist was fantastic with directions and empathy. Dr Carl and his team were amazing. After 2 hours of treatment we return home. A very relieved and grateful owner and a subdued but alive kelpie. A full recovery made over the next few days. Thank you so much.
Is this Australia's BEST Veterinary Clinic? I suspect the answer might be YES. My wife and I plus our 2 small poodles were holidaying nearby and sadly they both ended up with Paralysis ticks that had been on their bodies for some time. Pixie, the small one was in dire straits and having difficulty breathing, and couldn't close one eye. I have generally had positive interactions at Bermagui Vet, however at my recent visit, I used Vet Pay to pay for my bill. I was asked by the vet nurse to pay an additional $25 "merchant fee" on top of my bill. I contacted Vet Pay directly while I was at the clinic, and they confirmed that merchant fees are a business cost and should not be passed on to the customers. What was one of the worst days of my life, when I had my beautiful dog euthanised, was made somewhat easier by all the people at this clinic. From the start of the process, I was met with understanding, compassion and empathy, for which I will be forever grateful. In time, I hope all I will remember of that day will the love and support and tenderness which surrounded both my dog and myself. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.
