Moved into my apartment paid by homebase two weeks ago. Hearthway has yet to fulfill my furniture order. Been sitting inside an empty apartment for two weeks on an air mattress with a 7 year old. Everyone has left me in the dark and just told me to wait and “the check was sent last week”. Why wasn’t the check sent and it paid for when I had left shelter?? I was told by my old shelter this should’ve never happened. So far no help, left voicemails again today. Please reach out. -Charlene Desmarais

Hearthway helps those like myself with moving costs and help with move in costs. Its a long process, shouldn't be if your homeless.

Horrible People. They don't return calls. Barrett House in Adams has had a bedbug problem for a few months. Nothing is being done. Everything is hush hush with Hearthway. The building is disgusting. How long before the bed bugs get so out of control they start spreading to other buildings in Adams. Especially when the residents are traveling around town spreading them. Not the fault of the residents but the fault of the OWNERS.

I Fell behind due to illness that required hospital stays ,And loss of income lI submitted all 22 requested docs However more would be requested each time I completed request ,a lot of hoop jumping dragging it on until it final expires,False hope being told to reapply and making it impossible to be approved If my children and I were not approved in This difficult time while income eligible with proof and receipts of major hardships Facing evicition 1st time applying only due to recent major health issues . who is ?
