Mr. Berkowitz expected me to memorize a statute so I could testify over it the next day. Luckily opposing attorneys wanted to use affidavits. Then he cashed my check and ghosted me. He didn't respond to my emails or text messages and let my case go into default. I fired Lewis and hired another attorney who got my case out of default. After my case was out of default, Lewis finally responded to me saying that he wouldn't work on my case until I paid him $7,000. I reminded him that he was fired and I have a new attorney.
Lewis is part of Legal Shield network of attorneys. After being batted around by a couple of Attorneys within this network (and other non-network attorneys before Legal Shield) I was kicked over to Lewis with my - apparently - unpalatable problem.
