High prices, low selection
Went into the store to order a cake for my sons birthday 10 days before party day..I even brought in a decorative napkin as an example of the theme I wanted for the cake! Pick it up and this is what I get! A BLUE CAKE WITH ZERO DECORATIONS! I COULD HAVE MADE A BETTER CAKE MYSELF! The decorator could have AT LEAST CALLED and said she couldn’t come up with any ideas or couldn’t do this theme SO I COULD TAKE MY BUSINESS SOMEWHERE THAT WOULD TRY! Meat department is wonderful!!
The deli employees are the worst! They walk around aimlessly and wait on you when they feel like it. Totally ignoring the fact that they NEVER use the number system they have either! And worst of all.... it’s impossible to get a chicken dinner without anything wrong with it! Tonight... I ordered 8 piece dinner and one would expect the normal 2 of each piece... nope! First, I get asked every time "Are you a member of our Loyalty Program?". Telling me it's done on line. So I go to the Berkot's website. There is no place to join/sign-up for a Loyalty Club/Program? Is it over? You can register as a customer I noticed, but NOTHING ABOUT JOINING/BECOMING A LOYALITY member. So very strange. Has anybody found out how to join their LOYALITY club? Please advise Other than that, I have always found Berkot employees to be kind, courteous, and helpful. I love this store!!
