We had Berkly for our building. We canceled because they kept taking money out of our bank. They would not give our money back. They are thieves at best. I would give them zero stars if I could
They did not help me at all. Dropped me like a hotcakes. " Rebecca Boyer" should not have a license to "diagnose" whether a person is really hurt. Ended up paying most of my bills. I was seeing doctors throughout the summer then I was told by someone else that they just dropped me. I asked to see the doctor's report that showed I was released by one. They flatly refuse to talk to me because all the doctor's that I went to said " No you need help why would we drop you"? So Berkley workman comp has lied to me.
Watch out for low initial premium quotes. They will lure you in and then whack you with additional premiums. We have had zero claims. I have a small business with 5 employees and a few sub-contractors. We have never had a claim. The first year Berkley gave us a reasonable premium at first ($2,804) and then more than doubled our original fee based on a self-audit of our growing business. Wish my company owners would have been fortunate enough to see all these terrible reviews before jumping in with this company initially. This company is disgusting. I switched insurance in August and got my audit afterward. Never heard back from the audit, never received a notice of what was owed until December 4 which was a final notice (because they act like they have contacted me at all prior to this "final notice"). One of the must frustrating experiences of my life. You can never get anyone to answer a phone call or respond to an email. Everything takes weeks to get solved despite doctors orders and recommendations. Avoid working with them at all cost.
