Exceptional and friendly service.
I recently upgraded the electric on my entire 1938 home and garage and I am SO GLAD I chose Berkeley Electric! The entire process was smooth, and my cats and I were able to stay in the home durning the work. As they are a complete service, they finished the walls around all the new outlets and switches, so all I had to do after was paint. The highlight of my service had to be the doorbell. Great follow through , excellent workmanship , job completed in good timing in spite of many issues which many to be carefully handled! Zalman is great owner that cares about reputation of his company and his crew are thoughtful and very respectful of their clients! They all have years of resources and experiences!
We were looking to replace the old "knob-and-tube" wiring in our house in order to add more insulation in the attic and crawlspace. Berkeley Electric's owner, Zalman Sher, came and did a thorough assessment of what needed to be done, explaining how they price the work, the steps they take to minimize cutting into the walls, and their procedures for keeping the dust and mess to a minimum. The electrical work these guys did can best be described as rushed and shoddy. Relatively simple tasks like repairing a switch is done poorly. It's hard to communicate with the team because most didn't speak English. Lights in my bedroom started flickering on enough by themselves as soon as they left. I needed them to come back several times to make repairs on the work they are done still not fixed. I'm just tired of dealing with them.
