This place is horrible, and I believe in keeping with other homeless services in Berkeley, the workers and volunteers steal all they can from the homeless. I've had an address at the Drop in Center (DIC) for years, and just before the pandemic I had a $140 down sleeping the San Pablo USPS supervisor's paperwork showed had been delivered at the DIC, but I never received even after checking several times. Great resource line
The services and staff used to be great, now it's shady, the mail is piled up outside the building and unable to get your mail no one is there it's closed with no information or signs posted as to what's going on this is turning into a mental health issue for me I hope this is temporary at least have some distribute the mail one a week I know there is time sensitive mail from the County of Alameda that needs to be addressed like EBT please figure something out
