Lifesaver! We were in a bind, having just registered our car after moving from out of state but without a way to get the old plates off due to stripped and rusted out screws (seriously, these plates were not budging). Sol was one of the few places open after normal business hours, so we stopped in on a whim to see if he could spare a tool for us to work the problem ourselves. I’ve been thinking about how to write this review for a couple of weeks. I’ll start by saying I don’t think Sol is malicious. The issues with this Berkeley Auto Repair and Smog is skill level. If you’re looking for a quick oil change or a basic hose replacement, they might be fine. But for anything more complicated, I would be very cautious.
