My husband saw Dr. Lee on April 1st, and we found him to be excellent—he listened carefully, explained everything thoroughly, and took his time during the appointment. The doctors themselves are good—I’ve seen them before and had a positive experience. However, the scheduling process is extremely frustrating. I called to book an appointment and was told I would receive a callback. After waiting 24 hours with no response, I called again and was asked if I wanted to leave another message. When I asked about the expected callback time, I was told it could take days because they are busy. Excellent physicians but you’ll never see them. They make you wait 10 or 12 rings before they pick up, then someone tells you they’ll call you back to schedule an appointment, and that’s the end of your experience. Because you’ll never be called back. I got pissed by the disrespect so I called Hackensack Hospital’s Patient Experience office. I saw Dr. Inouye and he was great during my appointment. At the end of the visit, I was told that Sandy Calderon would contact me to schedule my surgery. It has now been over two weeks, and I have not been contacted. I have called the office multiple times and was told messages would be left for her to return my call. Terrible no one ever picks up call, have to wait 48 hours for someone to get back to you to schedule appointment. Staff shows no interest in their patients they close at 5pm and calls are thrown to answering service at 4:25pm.
