I am so grateful to Berea Alzheimer’s Care Center for taking such good care of my dad for the past five years! Although they are not perfect (no nursing home is absolutely perfect), they are perfect for my dad. The administrator is such a wonderful person who truly cares and the staff does a great job as well with engaging the patients in activities and keeping them safe. I am lucky to have them and trust them with my dad’s care.
Run while you can!!! The facility has a COVID break out and did not tell my family members!! We’ve had 3 people visit who were at risk and they did not follow CMS federal guidelines to let families know. My grandmother has missed 6 of her specialist appts, her kidney Dr and her kidneys are worse now. Much more bad happening here. In a time and place where a good long term care agency is hard to come by, this home is exceptional. The population they care for is hard and they do a beautiful job supporting the patients and their family members during such a challenging time.
I’ve had the pleasure of having a Family Member at this Facility, and i have recommended them to My Colleagues and other families. My Aunt experience was nothing but AMAZING for a patient with Dementia. The Staff was compassionate, rooms were clean and open communication. if i could give them more than 5 stars i would.
DO NOT PUT A LOVED ONE HERE!!! THEY'RE ABUSIVE. SUPERVISORS AND ADMIN STAFF TURN A BLIND EYE TO REPORTED INCIDENTS. THEY DON'T MONITOR VITALS. THEY LIMIT OR REFUSE VISITS TO FAMILY MEMBERS. FAMILIES ARE FIGHTING TO GET LOVED ONES OUT ONLY TO FACE LEGAL PROBLEMS TO WHICH THEY NOW HAVE TO PAY LAWYERS TO HANDLE "LEGALITIES." THIS PLACE MUST BE INVESTIGATED BY NEWS CHANNELS, THE GOVERNMENT, ANYONE WHO HAS THE POWER TO, NOT ONLY SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN, BUT PROSECUTE EVERYONE FROM CAREGIVERS TO ADMINISTRATION MEMBERS!!!
