My husband had his eye removed by Dr.Berbos and had nothing but a good experience with him. He is very personable, educates you in what he'll be doing, and has a great sense of humor. We appreciated the time he spent with us beforehand as well as post surgery. We would recommend Dr.Berbos to anyone needing his specialty.

He a great surgeon. Tiny little stitches. No pain as of second day after surgery. Still had bruising after 2 weeks. But almost gone. Still a bit blurry but to be expected.

My wife Margaret, had a Moh's reconstruction repair to cover a large area under the eye after another doctor had removed cancer. This required more than a skin graft. Instead, he made an incision across and down the face to pull it, realigning the exposed area under the eye. The hole was completely covered. It was a successful surgery and Dr Berbos was excellent, as well as all the staff involved in making such a surgery a very tolerable experience. ZERO STARS! (Berbos is in Rapid City, SD now at Black Hills Eye Institute, not in Phoenix, AZ) After eyelid surgery for ptosis and dry eye (repaired eyelid muscles and cauterized lacrimal glands), I went in for a 2nd appt. in 3 mos. as Dr. Berbos told me to do. He told me the skin on my eyelids would droop down, and that most people, at that point, would have loss of peripheral vision to the point an eyelid lift would be warranted and paid for by insurance.
