RecommendedI worked individually with a resident while helping her make the transition from assisted to memory care. The staff treated me no different from their coworkers and they showed great compassion and care while treating their residents with dignity and respect.
RecommendedMy dad lived in the memory care unit for 21/2 years. The staff loved him and went above and beyond with his care. BH was a perfect fit for him!
This place is not for a family that cares for their loved ones. The memory care unit is JOKE. Time and time again they proved their inadequacy in caring for dementia patients in their "memory care" unit. This is one of the most expensive nursing homes around the Jackson County area and we thought it was great. Turns out it is just new and will soon have a bad reputation. She broke her arm and needed some assistance while it healed so she could return to her home. RecommendedGreat people, conversations and company to be had at any given moment here amongst staff and residents (won't feel lonely - feels good), beautiful location (lot's of tree's surrounding acreage of property), brilliant lake area with walk path leading from building. The staff were welcoming to our Girl Scout Troop who spent time with residents. The facility was clean and warm and there was great engagement with residents. They talked about many opportunities of various activities (games) and shopping outings they have participated in at Benton House.
