Very caring staff. On the ball with constant check-ins and obs. Lovely friendly vibe. Lots of laughter with staff and patients to make you feel at ease. Pleasant stay. Was Quiet also which was a change from the busier hospitals...

The nursing team managers are good but there is a culture of ignoring patients going through a rough moment rather then actually trying to talk to them. Gladys Gladys and Carol really care and want the best for their patients as team leaders but most of the other staff need empathy training and often laugh at patients. As a public mental health ward it needs funding for restructuring and the beds, food are a disgrace This place is a disgrace, I called saying they'd set my medication to the wrong pharmacy and they hung up....... read more
My experience at this facility was overwhelmingly negative. I was met with staff who seemed disinterested, unkind, and at times even openly rude. It felt like I was just being processed, not cared for. There was no sense of compassion, no attempt to listen, and no effort to understand what I was going through. The receptionist at A block was extremely disrespectful. Where are your manners??? You're working at a hospital, dealing with nervous and unwell patients. Besides that rude and condescending woman (who should be dismissed), everyone else was so sweet, particularly the nurses.
