I was referred to Dr. Benjamin Taylor for a second opinion consultation with my rapidly rising psa score. He set me up to receive a psma pet scan that revealed a second localized tumor which was missed on the initial mri scan and biopsy. It also revealed possible capsular extension which needed to be dealt with quickly. He spoke with me at length about my treatment options which resulted in a positive outcome 5 months later. After dealing with BPH and a couple of doctors that were not leading me in the right direction, I switched over to Garden State Urology in 2017. That year I had a suprapubic prostatectomy operation and my follow-ups regularly. Covid came and things like for so many people went on the back burner. Fast forward to 2024.
