Very impolite, rude and agnostic chubby white girl. Would never recommend this to anybody ever in my friends. This is like a blot to the Mackinac island.

There are LOTS of gift shops on Lake Shore Drive, and we stepped into most of them on a busy 4th of July. The staff at Benjamin was particularly helpful. When I bought a post card, they also sold me a stamp (how convenient), and they also offered to mail the card from the local post office so it would have the local post mark on it. The shop itself was well stocked with interesting items, but the friendly and helpful staff is the main reason for my review.

The owner was being extremely rude towards an employee at the front register while they stood there mortified. Left me feeling very uncomfortable.

Our family visited Mackinac Island in June (first time my kids have ever been), from Louisiana. But I forgot to buy our traditional vacation bumper sticker. I emailed Mackinac Island Tourist Bureau to ask them to recommend some souvenir shops that might be willing to help me. Benjamin’s was the one I contacted, and I could not have asked for a more pleasant experience!
