Nice lodge but not as friendly as other lodges in the area. Not a good one to visit alone because you'll be by yourself.
First time visiting this lodge, as a guest of a member at another Bay Area lodge who recently joined. What can I say? This place just exudes old-time vibes! Next to this place, the other lodge feels somewhat cold and barren. Sterile, really. Then again, that lodge has nowhere near the membership or the history (my hope is that it can chart a path forward, perhaps by taking a look at what one of the most historically important lodges does well). great views, beautiful historic building near Union Square, a quiet respite from the chaos of The City, WONDERFUL bar and lounge, didn't eat lunch there but saw lots of people dining and the food looked very good
