I really love this breakfast joint. I have been coming here for years with my friends, as a Sunday morning tradition, before we leave the Durham area. The service is always stellar; the wait staff is so sweet and kind. It's a lovely, wholesome place to get a good breakfast. They also handle parties well; we had 8 adults and one child, and they seated us quickly and brought the food out before the 1-year-old got fussy! Had a great experience here this morning! Ironically, we found them after the first restaurant we tried had us waiting so long we gave up and left. We searched for something close by and found Benitis and I'm so glad we did. What a gem! We had a Bananas Foster Waffle breakfast and the Dublin Benedict. Both meals were terrific. The service was excellent as well. I would definitely return and recommend.
The gyro omelet was truly a treat! The perfect mix of savory and salty. I also got toast and fruit—the fruit was fresh and the toast was lightly buttered. The place got a little noisy but for good reason—this restaurant seems popular for its good food! Makes me wanna come here instead of first watch from here on out! The service was good, just a little slow because there were only two or three servers for the whole place.
I have been a customer of Benetis for many years and come here a dozen times or more with my husband. The food is always delicious and the service is wonderful. Unfortunately, the last time I visited, I saw that they are now using Generative AI to advertise their specials at the tables. I realize that they are a small business, and graphics design can be expensive, but this was very disappointing to me overall.
