I spoke with Hyundai service centre about sending in my i30 for an assessment and was told they would inspect it and provide a quote. To be fair, throughout this process, the young woman I spoke with was pleasant and easy to deal with. However, at no point was I told there would be a fee for the assessment. Had I known, I wouldn’t have sent the car to Hyundai and would have sent it straight to a wrecker, as I already suspected the vehicle was beyond repair and just wanted confirmation from the so-called experts.
